Ezio Ember is doing alright for himself, and it’s all thanks to a chance meeting a few hundred years ago. He doesn’t take any day for granted, living his life as best he can in honour of the man that saved that life. Then, one day, he and that man cross paths again.

This is technically an AU of Of Frost and Fire and Tell Me a Tale (of Magic). At some point, I realised that Caleb and Ezio work better romantically than Caleb and Morgyn do; in my game, Morgyn’s actually kind of self-absorbed, and not very compatible with Caleb, though he does get attracted to him. It’s just not got that lasting quality in my game. When I tried, on a whim, CalebxEzio, they worked a lot better and for way longer.

As it happens, in the original drafts of Of Frost and Fire (known as Make Me Bad now), Caleb was in the role Drake is in. So I decided to put Caleb back where Drake is and see how it goes. It has no other overarching plot-line, no All to deal with, no Sarnai, just whatever they decide to do, and I’m ngl, it may end up mostly fluff and Ember-twin tension. It’s a nice fluffy break from Of Frost and Fire. That thing’s an unmitigated disaster tbfh.
