Of Frost and Fire

This is for the new one. If you want to read the old one, it’s temporarily available over here.

Currently: I love how I have an overload of notes for this thing’s lore and it’s all organised a thousand times better than my whole ass life. You know, more than one person has attacked me over this story and I think I hate it now hahaha. Also it’s like really tempting to just tell you guys how this ends and move on l m a o funny how the views for this thing spike when I put it on hold.
Rating: N/A

A pair of twins from France seek out magic realm to start a new life together, but the life they build rests on fragile foundations. Threats arise that neither understands, and the answers they gain prove to be more dangerous than the threats that caused the questions in the first place. The two must figure out how to right wrongs that have stood for thousands of years, and not lose one another along the way. But you must lose, sometimes, to know how to hold on.

For an explanation of why there’s now two different Of Frost and Fires, check this post. I’m still in the fixing-my-stupid-sons’-mistakes stage, but I’ve gotten a sudden burst of inspiration so it tells me it was just the story that was keeping me from getting anywhere, not depression. Weird.

Anyways, I’m changing some things and dropping some of the useless plotlines that really have no bearing on anything, and hopefully I’ll be able to get through what is important without getting bogged down with a bunch of other stuff. Also going to try and get through it in three parts instead of a fucking zillion. I do not want to be here for another 450,000 words. But as usual, I make 0 promises.

Okay turns out I can’t do that without breaking half the rest of the story and losing some connections to other important things so I’m going to just write it and hope it doesn’t crush itself under its own weight. I’m writing it first before I publish it, so if something goes wrong in draft stage I’ll be able to fix it. I’m Hoping that by doing it this way I can see it and fix it easier if and when something goes sideways again but I think as long as I steer the kids away from some choice complexities we should be fine. Who knows. Here goes. Sorry about the long wait for it, but I’m writing just the dialogue and action descriptions first so hopefully I’ll get through the first draft in a month or so.
